There are so many places in your car that get dirty. And honestly, who has time to worry about all of them? We do! It’s our job to keep your car clean from the inside out, and we won’t let you down. We tested a few car cleaning tricks, and we’re sharing the simplest, most effective ones. Altogether, these hacks will take you less than thirty minutes. Afterwards, your car will look and feel fresh, from the headlights to the air vents.
1. Use dryer sheets to clean your headlights.
Headlights are the first part of your car to get dirty, which means they’re constantly caked in bugs and dirt. A dryer sheet easily removes it all, and you only have to travel as far as the laundry room to get it!
Grab a dryer sheet and dip it in water.

Scrub your headlight with the damp sheet – and don’t be afraid to put some elbow grease into it. Your headlight will get a bit soapy, so dry it off with a towel when you’re done.

2. Clear your air vents with a q-tip and a tissue.
If the air coming from your vents starts to smell funny, you may want to clean out your grates. This is also a good routine thing to do, just to keep your air fresh and your interior in shape!
Start by wrapping a tissue around a q-tip.

Slide the wrapped q-tip in between the grates, and prepare to be slightly grossed out. On the right, you’ll see how much dirt we got from just one vent!

3. Loosen the crumbs in your seats with a toothbrush, then vacuum.
You know the crumbs we’re talking about – miscellaneous crackers, chicken nuggets and who knows what else. This is so simple though: just scrub your seams with a toothbrush, watch the crumbs fly and then vacuum it all up!

Make a convenient spot for passengers to throw things away. Take a plastic cereal container or pitcher and put a plastic bag in it. The small container is perfect for things like wrappers and receipts, but it won’t take up an obnoxious amount of space.
